$2,500 in Jewelry Stolen in Lincoln Road Burglary

An attempted burglary also occurred at a Nomahegan Drive residence days later.

Jewelry worth $2,500 was reported stolen in a Lincoln Road home burglary on Nov. 1, police said.

Three days later, police said there was an attempted burglary to a Nomahegan Drive. According to police, an attempt was made to pry open a window during the late afternoon or early-evening hours on Nov. 4.

During the month of October, four homes and one business were broken into in Westfield.

The Westfield Police Department is investigating the incidents.
