Presbyterian Church in Westfield Announces Lenten Schedule
Westfield – The Presbyterian Church in Westfield has announced their schedule of services and events that are open to the community. “Take a journey through Lent with us,” invites senior pastor, the Reverend Dr. Ray Roberts.
Lenten Soup and Bread Lunches will be held on Sundays after the 10 a.m. church services on March 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6 in Assembly Hall, the parking lot level of the church.

Tuesday evening prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. in the Chapel on March 11, 18, 25 and April 1 and 8 where communion will be served.
Palm Sunday weekend services will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel and Sunday, April 13 at 8 a.m. in the Chapel, 9:45 a.m. in Westminster Hall for the Wired4Worship service and 10 a.m. in the main building’s Sanctuary. Weather permitting; the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt will take place on the front lawn of the church at 11 a.m.

On Maundy Thursday, April 17, a service will be held at 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
On Good Friday, April 18, the Service of Nails will be held at noon in the Chapel. Tenebrae at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary will feature the Chancel Choir singing the Faure Requiem. Tenebrae is Latin for “shadow” or “darkness” and is a service where there is gradual extinguishing of candles and light throughout the evening.
Please note, there is no Saturday service on April 19.
Easter Sunday morning services are 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary with special music and at 9:45 a.m. Wired4Worship in Westminster Hall.
A special Easter Breakfast will be served from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. in Assembly Hall. No reservations are necessary for this free breakfast or any of the services.
