Where do you get your groceries in the Mile Square?

Hobokenites are known to stay in their own little neighborhood, even though the city is only (a little more than) one square mile.

So this week, we're asking you what your favorite grocery store is in Hoboken.

Do you prefer a big chain, like A&P; a neighborhood grocer like Sobsey's Produce or an organic choice, like Basic Food? Let us know in this week's Readers' Choice Poll.

Your options are:

I think it really depends on what I'm buying. If I just need to pick up a few things for the week then I'll pay the higher prices at GoE for the convenience of not having to trek to the A&P in JC which I love. @Hobbs, absolutely! Just one of the many reasons why I love this town....choices!

The only single potato that could be any where near &5.00 would be an off season organic sweet potato that weighed 2 lb. $2.49/lb. Is not unusual for organic sweet potatoes. Organic yukon gold and org. Russets are usually &1.99/lb. Based on the wholesale price we pay it's fair. Conventional potatoes are much cheaper, but interest me only when they are new crop, like the FL potatoes being harvested now. Baby red $1.99/lb. Yukon $1.49. Those organic potatoes taste pretty amazing sometimes that why people come back for them. Was that a potato or potatoes? Sobsey

Sobsey's is by far the best. When you purchase something at Sobsey's is was selected by the owner most likely that morning. Not just thrown out on the shelf from skids of produce sitting in the back room. That is why the produce is better.

Sobsey is my number 1 store for organic fresh produce! Sobsey delivers. I also shop regularly at Basic for other organic items not available at Sobsey. Jeanne Becker
