Mr. Skibitsky and Mr. Oliveira: Please Remove your Political Signs from Town Property

I just read the article written by Mr. E. Stellingwerf two days ago. I apologize to Mr. Stellingwerf for taking the liberty to copy his letter, changing only the addressees.  I agree with him 100% especially when we speak about such an experienced politician as Mr. Skibitsky, and a CPA as Mr. Oliveira.

Mr. Skibtsky and Mr. Oliveira, all the residents have the right to voice their favor and participate in the election process by posting a lawn sign to support their candidate on private property. In fact, I have lawn signs in support of Mr. Dave Haas for Mayor and Mr.Matt Sontz for Ward 3 Council on my own yard.  Individuals placing signs on their private property is one thing. However, as Mayor for over eight years, Mr. Skibitsky, you should know better than to place your signs on public property, financed by tax-payers. Mr. Skibitsky and Mr. Oliveira, I do encourage you to continue to ask your supporters to display your signs and participate in the spirited & civil campaigns we have in Westfield, but I respectfully ask you to remove your signs from public thoroughfares such as Midvale Way-Tudor Court.  Thank you.
