Mr. Haas: Please Remove your Political Signs from Town Property

Sir, all residents have the right to voice their favor and participate in the election process by posting a lawn sign to support their candidate on  private property. In fact, I have a lawn sign in support of Mayor Andy Skibitsky on my own yard.  Individuals placing signs on their private property is one thing. However, as a councilman for over eight years, Mr. Haas, you should know better than to place your signs on public property, financed by tax-payers. Mr. Haas, I do encourage you to continue to ask your supporters to display your signs and participate in the spirited & civil campaigns we have in Westfield, but I respectfully ask you to remove your signs from public thoroughfares.  Thank you.  Edward T.
