Former Westfield Resident James Heffernan III Dies at 53
Heffernan worked as a broker on the New York Stock Exchange for more than 20 years.

James Howard Heffernan III, 53, formerly of Westfield, NJ, passed December 1, 2013 surrounded by his family.
A graduate of Penn State University, Jim worked as a broker member on the New York Stock Exchange for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Lauren (Long Branch); sons, James IV (Marine Corps, Monterey, CA) and Ian (Long Branch); step-son, Lawrence Chan (New Brunswick); parents James H. Heffernan Jr. and Marge Heffernan (Somerset); siblings Meg Richards (Mountain Lakes), Michael Heffernan (Flourtown, PA), Dan Heffernan (Tulsa, OK), and Catherine Collins (Brookfield, NH); and loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
