Optimist Club Presents Halloween Parade in Westfield

As part of the trick or treating on Oct. 27, the club will host a parade.

Halloween is upon us! The Optimist Club of Westfield will host a Halloween Parade on Oct. 27 as part of the Trick or Treating in Downtown Westfield.

The parade will feature a children’s costume contest, entertainment and costumed characters. Children from pre-school through elementary are welcomed to participate in the costume contest.

Children interested in participating should arrive at Qumby Street at 2 p.m. The parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. and proceed along North Avenue, Prospect Street, East Broad Street, Elm Street, and return to Quimby Street.

“The annual parade and related activities continue a long-standing Optimist Club tradition of providing fun, entertaining, and safe Halloween family activities for the community,” the organization stated.

Downtown Westfield’s Trick or Treating will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The costume contest is sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation and Westfield businesses.
