MUSIC GIVES to Kids of St Jude

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to highlighting efforts to reduce cancer’s toll on children. At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the fight against the disease occurs year round.

“MUSIC GIVES - Night of Music, Food, Fun and Hope” event hopes to raise money to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital find new treatments for childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.  

 The “MuSIC GIVES” will be held at the James Ward Mansion in Westfield, NJ at 7pm on Friday, September 23, 2011.  The Jonathon Furer Trio, includes Ben Krupit on bass & trumpet, and Charlie Winkler on drums, and they will perform notable jazz and rock compositions along with some original pieces.

The James Ward Mansion Family has generously donated their facility and expertise to facilitate this event in order to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Clyne & Murphy has also generously donated its services to provide the guests of this event with light refreshments.

$25 includes admission and light refreshments. All donations go to the kids of St. Jude.

The event is organized by Jonathon Furer, 15, an emerging musician, and 11th grader at Cranford High School, with the help of Jennifer Love, John Ward of the James Ward Mansion and Steve Quaranti of Clyne & Murphy.
