Chris Grabenstein, a former improvisational comedian, advertising executive, and now an award winning author, will be at the Clark store on Saturday, March 20, to speak about his writing and sign books.  Grabenstein won the Anthony Award for Best First Mystery for the debut of his novel, "Tilt-a-Whirl", first in a series of mysteries to be set in a New Jersey tourist town called Sea Haven.  He also writes ghost stories for Middle Grade readers.    Selections of his books from both series will be available on Saturday, March 20.

To participate in this fundraiser for Literacy, use voucher number 10109270 when making your purchase.  Barnes & Noble will donate a portion of the sale to Literacy Volunteers.  Vouchers are available at the store and on our website, www.lvaunion.org.   You may also request a voucher from the cashier when checking out your purchases.

Literacy Volunteers is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization that seeks to improve the lives of adults by teaching them to read, write and speak English so they can participate more fully in family, workplace and community.

Last year 265 volunteers dedicated 16,923 hours to tutor 623 adult learners.  Literacy Volunteers also created and published a Student Art & Literary Magazine that featured writings and artwork of 32 students.  The group is proud of the committed tutors and hard working adult learners that make up their organization.
