Would-Be Entrepreneurs Learn Essentials Steps before Taking the Plunge


CRANFORD, NJ - Got that entrepreneurial spirit?  Lots of us want to quit our 'day job' to pursue a dream full time.  Launching a business can be fulfilling and lucrative, but too many first-time entrepreneurs make big mistakes in the starting process.

Solid preparation and a realistic assess of the market are key to starting a business before the 'open for business' is hung.  That's why UCEDC is offering a FREE workshop designed to guide you through the mechanics of starting your business and make sure you get off on the right foot.  Starting a Business in NJ:  The Steps You Need to Take is scheduled for Thursday, January 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at UCEDC's headquarters, 75 Chestnut Street in Cranford.

"Starting a business doesn't have to be intimidating, but careful planning is crucial to creating a successful business," explained Meryl Layton, UCEDC's Business Mentor.  We help aspiring business owners to prepare for challenges ahead of time and make sure they are equipped to meet them."

Participants will learn the pros and cons of different legal business structures, what is required of your business if you have employees, how to name and register your business, insurance requirements and much more.
