Maple Sugar Sunday

One of the most important seasonal farm tasks in early America  was sugar making in the maple woods.  The museum's program features a presentation on the production of syrup and sugar from the sap of the maple tree. (Please note that no trees will actually be tapped.)  Also featured is a demonstration of 18th century open-hearth cooking using authentic  cooking tools and recipes highlighting the use of maple syrup.  Tours of the 1740 farmhouse are included.  Admission is $3.00 for adults and children age 13 and older, $2.00 for children ages 3 to 12, and free under age 3.
