Yoga is ultimately an art of awareness and every aspect of it reveals more and more of your Self to you.” Carl’s unique classes are true to his philosophy, offering his students both a challenging physical practice and the opportunity, on a deeper level, to connect with their own inner selves. His personal meditation practice, love of nature, and experience as a new father are all reflected in his teaching. His teaching style is culled from 25 years of practice and 17 years as a professional instructor. Carl completed both the 200-hour and 500-hour certifications at Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA, and is a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor. He has twice been on staff at Kripalu’s month-long teacher training program and has years of experience teaching at area studios, Y’s, spas, health clubs, and corporate headquarters. In addition, he has studied with nationally recognized master teachers, including Eric Schiffman, Gary Kraftsow, Rodney Yee, and Todd Norian. He is also a certified Life Coach. Carl is a co-owner with Erin Klemme & Stacey Latus of GLOW, the new perinatal and family wellness center in Pluckemin NJ. Carl is also the co-founder, with his wife, Erin, of P.S. 108, a yoga studio in Bedminster, and co-director of their acclaimed Jivana Yoga teacher-training program. His classes are open to all levels of practitioners and have attracted a loyal following. A devoted student of Joel Goldsmith and Ramana Maharshi, Carl’s interpretations on the scriptural source texts of yoga can be found at carlklemmeyoga.com.
