The Garden Club of Westfield, Inc. Presents "Establishing a Mixed Boarder" + Upcoming Events

On Tuesday, February 12th, The Garden Club of Westfield will host “Establishing a Mixed Boarder”. Bruce Crawford will be the speaker. Mr. Crawford is the Director of Rutgers Gardens and Adjunct Professor in Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University. There will be a slideshow to illustrate his statement that “Many gardens do not have a true ‘border’ in the traditional context, but the ‘garden’ can be enriched by combining shrubs and herbaceous materials such that enhances each other.”

The meeting will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield at 1pm. The hostess chair for the February event is Elaine Junguenet. She will be assisted by Nancy Brandt, Merrilyn Crane, Mary Ann Malloy and Jennie Williams. Visitors from Westfield and other towns are welcome to attend. April 25th will see a celebratory luncheon for the Garden Club of Westfield’s 90th anniversary to be held at Echo Lake Country Club. Interested parties for the February meeting or Garden Club in general are welcome to call Jane Curtis, Co-President, at 908-232-5795.
