DRAWING THE HUMAN PORTAIT with Julian Tejera
Capturing the likeness of a person is every figurative artist's greatest and most

rewarding challenge.  Knowing the structure and proportions of the face not only helps one successfully draw a portrait, but also imbue it with personality.  This workshop will focus on creating a unique interpretation of a model that is true to life but also true to an artist’s vision.

THE ART OF PASTEL with Anne Kullaf
Working with both hard and soft pastels on sanded paper, students will learn basic techniques for layering color in a spontaneous and expressive manner. Emphasis will be placed on form, value, proportion, perspective, and color harmony. Students will work from a set up provided by the instructor.

All four Arts Guild NJ workshops will take place from 10 AM – 2 PM in the Senior Center Annex at 125 West Milton Avenue on the corner of Esterbrook and Milton Avenues in Rahway. Each workshop costs $95.00.  For more information, please access the online course catalog at www.agnj.org (Art Classes page) or call (732) 381-7511.  Registration is accepted online as well as in-person or by mail. To register in person, visit the Arts Guild New Jersey office at 1670 Irving Street in Rahway, Monday - Thursday, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (please use parking lot entrance). Cash and check payments are accepted in person or by mail; credit card payments are accepted online only.
