Massage Therpay School Open House

The Therapeutic Massage and Training Center (TMTC) of Westfield will be holding an open house Saturday, February 2, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. to allow people interested in or curious about becoming a massage therapist to learn more about the field and the pathway to licensing. Visitors also will be able to see the school and meet faculty and
graduates to learn about how they are making use of their training.


The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics projects employment of massage therapists to grow by 20 percent between 2010 and 2020.

  • People interested in becoming a massage therapist as a primary or secondary career

  • People needing a part-time job with flexible hours

  • People interested in learning how to help family members and friends get out of pain
    and/or relax


“People come to our school for a wide variety of reasons and at all ages,” said Arlene Reardon, owner and executive director of TMTC.  “We have graduated students who
are practicing health professionals who want to widen their skills, young people fresh from high school or college who are excited by a non-traditional yet growing career field, as well as senior citizens who simply want to continue their learning and make their loved ones more comfortable.”
