Learn how to use iPad and iPhone at Westfield Memorial Library on March 11

(February 25, 2013) – The Westfield Memorial Library is pleased to present a program on the iPad and the iPhone on Monday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.

Senior Systems Engineer for Apple, Dave Marra, returns to the Library to do a presentation on the new iPad and the current iPhone (a presentation only, not a hands on session). Designed to be thin and light enough to take anywhere, the new iPad is the best way to experience the web, email, photos, video and textbooks.

With a large, high-resolution Retina display, an incredibly responsive Multi-Touchscreen and an amazingly powerful Apple-designed chip, iPad isn't just the best device of its kind, it's a whole new kind of device. The presentation also covers iOS 5, bringing 200+ new features to the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch; and iCloud, for storage of music, photos, documents, and wirelessly push them to all your devices.

Mr. Marra has conducted thousands of technology presentations, keynote addresses and workshops for schools, Mac and PC user groups, businesses and other professional organizations across the United States and Canada. Certified as both an Apple certified Technical Coordinator and an Apple Certified Systems Administrator, he specializes in digital multimedia, internet technologies, accessibility and Mac/PC integration.

Families are welcome to attend, but this is an Adult program.

The program is free and open to Westfield and MURAL cardholders. (MURAL cardholders belong to libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Check our website to see if your library participates.) To register for the program, visit the library’s website at www.wmlnj.org, click on the Calendar tab, or call 908.789.4090 option 0.
