Why Should Someone from Westfield Visit Western New York?

Niagara County residents encourage Westfielders to come visit.

When you drive into Niagara County, N.Y., the road sign says "Niagara County: We've Been Expecting You." Westfield Patch decided to talk to some Niagara County residents to find out why they've been expecting you and why they believe Westfield residents should pay a visit to the Western New York area. The interviews were conducted on New Year's Eve at a private office and in Orange Cat Coffee on Center Street in the Village of Lewiston.

"I can speak to Lewiston. The first is the people. The people here are so warm and so compassionate. In this small community everyone is an extended family. The quality of life in this small community, with a mayor who served 15 years and a new chamber of commerce, is wonderful. The total climate is outstanding with everyone working to make it a better place to live each day. We have fresh water next to us with Lake Ontario and the Niagara River with fishing. Fishing has become a tremendous resource with people coming from other states to fish here. This small community hosts nine restaurants on one street that are always full and have good quality food. You walk in and you know everyone. The beauty of the area is great with the arts, small business. Everything in general just makes it a wonderful place to be." - Earl W. Brydges Jr.
