What's Happening on New Year's Eve in Westfield?

Dining and entertainment choices abound in downtown Westfield.

If you haven't already made New Year's Eve plans, the following is a list of options for those looking to stay close to home:

16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro will serve dinner until 11 p.m. while the bar will remain open until 2 a.m. Joe Regan will entertain revelers on piano.

While Acquaviva delle Fonti will offer its regular a la carte menu, the Elm Street restaurant will host two seatings at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Chez Catherine feature a six-course prix fixe menu priced at $150. Reservations can be made online through this link.

Ferraro's will ring in the new year with its usual menu plus some specials. Seating is first come, first served.

Jeffrey's of Westfield offers a New Year's Eve appetizer menu as well as a New Year's Eve entree menu.

Xocolatz will be serving its regular menu and will take reservations, which are strongly recommended, up until 8 p.m.

The Westfield Symphony Orchestra presents Steppin’ Out, a revue of American musical theater classics. Featuring soprano Sandra Joseph (seen by millions starring as Christine in NYC's Phantom) Ron Bohmer (currently starring in The Fantasticks on Broadway) and other renowned guest vocalists direct from the Broadway stage, this is New Year's Eve at its finest. Patrons are advised to purchase tickets in advance as this concert has been a sell-out for the past five years.

The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the Westfield High School auditorium, 550 Dorian Road in Westfield, and will finish at approximately 9 p.m. Tickets in advance are $40 for general admission and $70 for preferred seating ($45 and $75 at the door, if available.)

Tickets are now available on line at www.westfieldsymphony.org. Tickets may also be purchased by calling (908) 232-9400 or visiting the office at 224 E. Broad Street, Westfield.

Will Ferrarro's be serving alcoholic beverages from the bar in the second floor to ring in the new year in violation of their liqour license? Just wondering if the wannabe nightclub host Chucky will be ringing in the new year in style.
