Westfield Remembers John F. Kennedy, Jr., Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and Lauren Bessette

Ten years since the death of former president's son.

Ten years ago today, John F. Kennedy, Jr., the son of President John Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, died when the plane he was piloting crashed in to the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Martha's Vineyard. Kennedy's wife, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, and sister-in-law, Lauren Bessette, were also killed in the crash. In light of the anniversary of the events, which transfixed the nation a decade ago, Westfield Patch talked with people enjoying the sidewalk sale downtown Thursday afternoon to hear their thoughts on the anniversary.
