Westfield Decks the Halls as Santa Comes to Town

Annual tree lighting took place at 5 p.m.

Hundreds braved the cold to catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus as they came down Elm Street by fire truck in time for the annual tree lighting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.

The event, which included hot chocolate provided by Xocolatz, hot cider courtesy of the Lion's Club of Westfield, and entertainment by the Community Band of Westfield, is sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation.

Children had a chance to visit Santa and his missus and share their wish lists. Even Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky seems to be asking the jolly couple for a cell phone upgrade (see attached video.)
