Walking in a (Westfield) Winter Wonderland

Photos of the blizzard that wasn't.

Despite days of predictions and preparations for the blizzard of the year, Saturday's snow fall turned out to be a few inches of snow. While the predictions turned out to be less than expected, Westfielders from Stoneleigh to the Gardens found a way to enjoy the day.

Children were sledding on the hill behind Tamaques School and on the hill in front of Wilson School as parents kept a watchful eye out. Most main roads were plowed, while drivers proceeded with caution on secondary streets. The Department of Public Works was out during the day salting roads. Shoppers continued to walk around the downtown ducking in and out of local stores to keep warm.

Here are some photos from the blizzard that wasn't.
