World War II veteran talks about her experiences.
This year's Memorial Day parade was led by World War II veteran Claire Butler.
A long time realtor in town, Butler joined the Army Air Force in 1943 during the war, taking a break from teaching ice dancing at Rockefeller Center. Commissioned a lieutenant, Butler returned home after a year of stateside service.
Butler took time following the parade and ceremony in Fairview Cemetary to share her thoughts and experiences with Patch.
