Santa Comes to Town in Time for Annual Tree Lighting on Sunday

Santa is available for photos at Lord & Taylor.

Santa and his missus have arrived safely in Westfield and are available for photos at Lord & Taylor from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.

The event is co-sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC) and Lord & Taylor. A free 5 x 7 photo taken by Paul Mecca will be provided with the donation of two cans of food for the Holy Trinity Food Drive/Hurricane Sandy Relief. A nominal shipping charge applies and packages may be purchased online within 24-48 hours.  

Also sponsored by DWC is the annual tree lighting at 5 p.m, Sunday, Nov. 25 at the North Avenue train station. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck for the festivities which include hot chocolate provided by Xocolatz, hot cider courtesy of the Lion's Club of Westfield, goodies, and entertainment by the Community Band of Westfield.

Note: A collection box will be available at the Tree Lighting for the Girl Scouts Annual Mitten Tree Project. Franklin Junior Troop #645 will be collecting new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks for needy families throughout New Jersey. Your donations will then be distributed as gifts during the holiday season to local charities.
