Residents enjoy the day after the Blizzard of 2010

Blue skies abounded through Westfield on Thursday, while over a foot of snow covered the ground.

The day after the Blizzard of 2010, which buried the town in 17.5 inches of snow, was a day of fun and clean-up for the people of Westfield. Residents townwide could be seen shoveling their driveways and sidewalks, while children played. Snowmen were built around town and several residents built snow forts in their yards.

Westfield received the highest snowfall of any community in the New York metropolitan region.
