Ten Westfield Dentists Recognized as Among Best in State

NJ Monthly magazine has chosen 10 Westfield oral specialists as among the best dentists in the state.

The Westfield oral specialists were among the 324 dentists in nine specialties chosen from the nearly 6,500 dentists practicing in the state. The winners were selected by peer review, with results tabulated by an independent firm.

In the issue of the magazine on newsstands now, NJ Monthly recognized the following:

Harout Barsemian of Apex Endodontics, with offices in Westfield and Morristown, offers retreatments, root canal therapy and apicoectomy in a friendly enviornment.

Louis L. Galianoa is a specialist in Periodontics. He also has extensive training in placing dental implants. His practice specializes in treatment of gum disease including cosmetic procedures to aesthetically enhance your smile and dental implants that can replace missing teeth. He diagnoses and treats oral pathology.

Timothy P. McCabe is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and then completed his residency in pediatric dentistry from St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. McCabe is Board Certified in pediatric dentistry. Dr. McCabe was raised in Westfield and attended Holy Trinity Interparochial School. 

Stanley Gersch received a BS in Biology from the City College of New York and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass. After completing a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center,   NY, he specialized in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Gersch and his wife, Cindy, reside in Westfield, NJ where they have raised their two adult children, Scott and Shari. In 2005 Scott joined his dad as his partner at Gersch Orthodontics.

Scott D. Gersh is the son of Dr. Stanley Gersch and grew up in Westfield, NJ where he graduated from Westfield High School in 1995. He received his Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the University of Michigan in 1999, and then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2003. Dr. Gersch was on the Dean’s List, served as class president, and received honors including the Award for Excellence from the New Jersey Society for Pediatric Dentistry for his enthusiasm and skill in caring for and treating children.

Torin W. Rutner is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a particular interest in facial cosmetic/plastic surgery.
