Memorial Day Parade Monday

Parade to start at 9:30 a.m.

The annual Memorial Day parade will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The parade will start after ceremonies on the lawn surrounding the war memorial at the intersection of North Avenue and East Broad Street in the downtown. The ceremonies will include the playing of taps, a speech by Mayor Andy Skibitsky and the laying of wreaths for the Westfielders killed in each war.

The parade will proceed from North Avenue and down East Broad Street through the downtown business district. Heading past the downtown, the parade will continue down East Broad Street past the library and Temple Emanu-El before ending at Fairview Cemetery. The public is invited to line the parade route.

Following the parade, there will be a ceremony at Fairview Cemetery to honor those who were killed during wartime.
