Five Things You Need to Know This Week

Five things going on this week.

1) It is Restaurant Week in Westfield. Downtown restaurants will be offering lunch and dinner specials all week.

2) The Town Council and Board of Education will be meeting on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Municipal Building and BOE headquarters. The BOE is expected to vote on setting the maximum budget level for the year.

3) Petitions to seek a seat on the Board of Education in the April 27 election are available in the board secretary's office at 302 Elm Street. Three seats are up for election this year. Completed petitions are due to the board secretary by 4 p.m. on March 8.

4) Flugelhornist Gordon James will be performing at the Memorial Library on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

5) Roosevelt Intermediate School is presenting "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Contact Judy Augustino at judyandalan1@verizon.net for tickets.
