Annual Westfield Tree Lighting Set for 5 p.m. Today

Franklin Junior Troop #645 will be collecting new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks for needy families throughout New Jersey.

Westfield's annual tree lighting will take place at 5 p.m, Sunday, Nov. 25 at the North Avenue train station. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck for the festivities which include hot chocolate provided by Xocolatz, hot cider courtesy of the Lion's Club of Westfield, goodies, and entertainment by the Community Band of Westfield. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation.

Note: A collection box will be available at the Tree Lighting for the Girl Scouts Annual Mitten Tree Project. Franklin Junior Troop #645 will be collecting new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks for needy families throughout New Jersey. Your donations will then be distributed as gifts during the holiday season to local charities.
