Women Business Owners Unite for Forum

A panel will discuss challenges and successes.

Women entrepreneurs in the Westfield area will spend an evening discussing their experiences and sharing their ideas at a Women Business Owners Forum.

Sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the event takes place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday at GWACC member The James Ward Mansion.

Congressman Leonard Lance will be in attendance to be participate in the discussion, so that he may better represent all of his constituents, regardless of political party, in Washington, explained GWACC executive director Heather Robinson.

"The event is not political,"said Robinson, "but merely an opportunity for local women who own businesses to share, and to educate attendees about their experiences. The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to bring attention to such an important forum. It is the GWACC's hope that our greater community will benefit, as we move forward trying new things, and breaking new ground!"

A panel of women business owners will discuss their concerns regarding the current business climate as well as any obstacles or advantages they've encountered as a result of their gender.

Light refreshments will be provided by Bovella's Pastry Shoppe. The GWACC is seeking a coffee/beverage sponsor. Please contact Heather Robinson at hrobinson@westfieldareachamber.com with any questions.

All are welcome to attend this free event.
