Just in time for those last minute shoppers, Urban Outfitters will open its newest store on Thursday, Dec. 20 in downtown Westfield.
Following months of construction, the chain, with nearby shops in Montclair and Edison, began receiving merchandise earlier this week.
Best known for selling men's and women's apparel in addition to a wide selection of quirky gift items and home furnishings, the store, at 154 E. Broad St., will fill a near-five-year vacancy at the corner of Elm and East Broad Streets.
Sherry Cronin, executive director of the Downtown Westfield Corporation, said she is glad to see the space, formerly occupied by a bank, filled.
