Thousands Attend Westfield's Semi-Annual Girls' Night Out

More than 1,600 visitors were anticipated Thursday night.

The streets of Downtown Westfield were flooded with Westfield women and residents from the surrounding area on Thursday night for the annual Girls' Night Out.

A majority of the Westfield shops were holding sales and offerings complimentary treats for shoppers and diners. Saint Barnabas Medical Center was the sponsor for this year’s bags.

“The evening has become a semi-annual event that residents and local business owners look forward to,” said Sherry Cronin, Executive Director of the DWC. 

Some of the evening’s many highlights included a free samples of Tom’s Tonic & Gins by Tom Ritcher, which have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, Time Out NY and more. Ritcher’s wife, Broadway star Michele Ragusa was also at the event. Cool Vines offered a wine tasting and Savory Spice Shop showed a vodka infusion demonstration.

Additionally, South Moon Under celebrated its grand opening and numerous other Westfield shops offered discounts, raffles and gifts. Downtown Westfield Restaurants offered food and drink specials. A full list of offerings can be found, here

Mayor Andy Skibitsky and Committeeman Sam Della Fera were seen at the event. Skibitsky was interviewing residents and business owners/managers for TV-35. He also assisted in the ribbon cutting for South Moon Under.
