Westfield Merchants Share Super Bowl Food and Drink Suggestions
Try a new appetizer, beer or wine this Sunday.
Looking to freshen up your Super Bowl party with some new appetizers? How about taste testing some new brews before serving them to your guests? Westfield's Savory Spice Shop and CoolVines have a few ideas to help make Super Bowl XLVII exciting regardless of what happens on the field.
CoolVines kicks off the weekend with a tasting entitled 'Super Bowl Brews' from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight. What's on tap? CoolVines will be pouring the following ales and lagers:
Kapuziner Weissbier - 5 Liter mini keg, perfect for game day. Big whipped cream-like head, excellent flavors of clove, banana, and vanilla.

Victory Brewing Headwaters Pale Ale - 6 pack. Considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, this refreshing ale is a tribute to the life-giving cleanliness of water; bringing the hops, malt and yeast into harmony with great local water.
Staropramen Lager - 6 pack or 16.9 oz single bottle. Light in color but full in flavor, "The Star of Prague" has a smooth hoppy flavor and little bitterness; using locally grown hops, it has been made in the same brewery for over 125 years.

Cricket Hill American Ale - 6 pack. Easy drinking amber ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.
"It doesn't have to just be about beer," according to the Central Avenue wine shop's website. "All the hardcore munching you'll be doing this Sunday deserves some hardcore wine to make your hot wings and nachos soar!"
On Saturday, Feb. 2, CoolVines will host 'Big Wines for the Big Game' from 2 to 5 p.m. Customers will receive 20 percent off on closed cases of the wines included in the tasting.
Winging it this weekend? Savory Spice Shop offers a fresh take on the party favorite.
