Six Westfield Businesses Celebrate Ribbon Cuttings

Entrepreneurs welcomed the community into their new businesses.

Business was booming in downtown Westfield Saturday as entrepreneurs celebrated their recent openings with a ribbon cutting ceremonies that included a visit from Mayor Andy Skibitsky, Sherry Cronin, executive director of the Downtown Westfield Corporation and Heather Robinson, executive director of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Kidville, located at 109 E. Broad Street, was the first of six businesses to celebrate. The enrichment center geared toward the pre-school set hosted a grand opening party complete arts and crafts, refreshments, open play in their state-of-the-art indoor playground, and musical performances by Kidville’s own Rockin’ Railroad band.

Kidville's neighbor Francesca’s, located at 161 E. Broad Street, opened in March. The boutique features women's apparel and accessories. In addition to shoes and handbags, the shop also sells wall decor and gift items. 

Seraphim Wellness, located at 66 Elm Street, is comprised of a licensed massage therapist, a clinical and holistic nutritionist, and an intuitive energy healer. Working together, the team offers services such as Reiki, Swedish massages, and nutritional consultations.

Across the street, Uncle Louie G’s, at 57 Elm Street, serves up a wide variety of homemade Italian ices. 

RStudio Lash Spa is a new business "dedicated exclusively to transforming eyelashes and specialty facial enhancement treatments that promote a sense of indulgence and rejuvenation," according to its website. The spa is located at 100 Quimby St. Suite 3. 

Knitting enthusiastics will find a kindred spirit in Do Ewe Knit's proprietor, Karen Posniak. Located at 217 Elmer Street, the new shop stocks yarns and notions to fit a range of projects and budgets. Classes offered include: 'The Skinny on Short Rows,' 'Calling All Cast-Ons!,' and 'Binding Off; The Proper Way to Say Goodbye.'
