Lance Visits Juniper Networks OpenLab Facility in Bridgewater

The visit was coordinated by Westfield Councilman Frank Arena.

In support of his pro-business agenda and support for Governor Christie's New Jersey Comeback initiatives, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) visited Juniper Networks OpenLab facility in Bridgewater on Sept. 6. The visit was coordinated by Westfield Councilman Frank Arena, whose full-time employer is Juniper Networks where he is a Global Account Director.

New Jersey's heritage of innovation dates back to Thomas Edison and Bell Labs; it is the birthplace of the telephone, the program computer and the transistor. OpenLab continues this tradition and compliments Congressman Lance's role in protecting and growing jobs in New Jersey's energy, life sciences and telecommunication sectors as this one-of-a-kind facility "creates an environment that welcomes businesses and ignites the culture of innovation in New Jersey" (Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno quote from her 6/19/12 visit to Juniper OpenLab).

Congressman Lance noted that the Garden State has a special place in the history of technological innovation and he is excited to have OpenLab in his district as it will help facilitate new network-integrated applications for our connected society.

Also attending this visit with Congressman Lance were Juniper Executives Bob Dix, Jerry Passione, Anthony Cioffi, Hal Stern and Township of Bridgewater Economic Development Officer Howard Turbowitz.
