Kids Say Let's YO! Is the Place to Go

Busy opening day at 121 East Broad Street, says owner.

"Oh my God, they have iPads!" a trio of girls squealed as they entered Westfield's newest frozen yogurt shop Thursday evening.

iPads plus ice cold treats equal a good time according to the young customers Patch spoke with on opening day at Let's YO!

Jordan Horowitz, 10, and his sister, Brooke, 7, said they think the self-serve shop, decorated in greens and browns with popular high-tech accessories, is "really cool."

Jordan, who selected a cup of Gooey Cinnamon Bun as his choice du jour, said he was enjoying playing games on the iPad while eating his dessert. Brooke, sampling a mixture of Cookies and Cream and Birthday Cake flavors, agreed.

"I love how it looks," she said. "I love colors."

Owner Kelly Celendano said the store's opening day was "hectic, but a good kind of hectic."

"People here are wonderful," she said. "Everybody has wished us well and said they really like the feel of the store."

Celendano said it was challenging getting everything organized and was thankful for the help of her "right-hand man" Albert, a veteran Let's YO! manager.

"We're very happy with how things have gone," said Celendano. "It's very exciting."

When asked if the Horowitz siblings will return to Let's Yo!, Jordan enthusiastically said, "Yes, we will!"

Let's YO! opens daily at 11 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday Let's YO! will remain open until 11 p.m. To apply for a job, visit Let's YO!'s website.
