Jeffrey's Offers Intimate Wine Tasting Dinner

California-based wine maker will chat one-on-one with guests.

Jeffrey's of Westfield will host a special guest for dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 5: California-based wine-maker Susie Selby of Selby Winery. The Central Avenue restaurant invites oenophiles to enjoy a more intimate wine tasting experience starting at 7 p.m.

The five-course dinner (see attached menu) will feature chef Jeffrey Rust's rustic cuisine paired with the award-winning winery's offerings. Jeffrey's manager Steve Williams explained how this event will differ from traditional wine tastings.

"Unlike most of the wine tastings that we’ve all attended where guests are often packed in like sardines and have little, if any, opportunity to comfortably sit with friends, enjoy an extensive sampling of delicious wines, and actually ask questions and chat with the proprietors and/or winemakers, the Tuesday event at Jeffrey’s will be a totally different experience," he noted. "Jeffrey’s of Westfield and the Selby Winery have developed a close relationship over the past seven years and Susie will not only share her background and experiences as a celebrated winemaker, but will also have the time to chat one-on-one with the event’s attendees and answer any and all questions they may have."

Williams said in order to make sure every guest has an opportunity to comfortably enjoy their dinner and time with Selby, there will be a limited number of attendees.

The wine tasting dinner begins at 7 p.m. and is priced at $89 per person. Call 908-232-4517 for more information or to make a reservation.
