Four Grand Openings Scheduled for Saturday

Mayor to wield golden scissors around downtown.

Hopefully Mayor Andy Skibitsky learned to not run with scissors when he was young, since he has four ribbons to cut on Saturday morning.

Skibitsky and downtown business officials will be traveling to four new downtown businesses to cut ribbons and officially open the new businesses. The businesses consist of two on the south side of town and two on the north side.

Businesses being officially opened by the mayor are: Inspire Gifts and Crafts on South Avenue, Westfield Bagels and Cafe on South Avenue, Splash Boutique on East Broad Street and Westfield Sleep Center on Elm Street.

The Downtown Westfield Corporation works with the mayor's office to coordinate a series of business ribbon cutting events during the course of the year. In addition to Skibitsky and DWC Executive Director Sherry Cronin, officials with the Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce traditionally attend the ribbon cuttings.
