Celebrating a Taste of Westfield

DWC kicks off holiday season with a taste of the town.

The smell of snacks from Westfield's various restaurants brought crowds into the Elm Street offices of the Downtown Westfield Corporation Monday evening to celebrate the coming holiday season and take a tour of the town's restaurants.

The annual DWC holiday party, dubbed a "Taste of Westfield," featured members of the downtown community and other local leaders coming together to enough holiday spirited fellowship with local cuisine. The table was filled with egg rolls, lobster ravioli, empanadas, wraps, fresh shellfish and various desserts. The lobster ravioli from Acquaviva delle Fonti proved to be a popular item with the crowd.

The event also served as a way for the DWC to thank the members of the group's volunteer committees for their work over the course of the year. The committees help the downtown agency plan programs including design of downtown projects and decorations.
