$2 Million Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in North Jersey

Winner has yet to come forward after Saturday's drawing; used 'Power Play' to double prize.

It only takes a dollar and a dream. But what if you added a second dollar? Does that mean your dreams double?

For one person who bought a Powerball lottery ticket in Morris County recently, $2 has turned into $2 million.

The multi-state jackpot was worth $50 million during Saturday night’s drawing, but no top prize winners were announced. A ticket sold in Lincoln Park at the ShopRite on Beaver Brook Road was worthy of second prize, however, which has a price tag of $1 million, according to lottery officials.

The winner took the Power Play option, which means that by adding a dollar to the ticket price, any winnings would be doubled. The winning numbers were 10, 14, 24, 32, and 41, with a Powerball number of 30 and Multiplier of 2. The jackpot has now climbed to $60 million for the Wednesday, March 12 drawing.

As of Monday afternoon, the winner had not yet come forward.

Another $2 million ticket was sold in Indiana, and a third prize, $10,000 ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Route 9 in Laonoka Harbor in Ocean County.
