Westfield's Static Jacks to Rock NYC's Webster Hall

If hearing The Static Jacks perform at Westfield High School's Sandy Benefit left you wanting more, you're in luck. The homegrown rockers will take the stage at New York City's Webster Hall Friday, March 22.

While the band has toured all over the United States and as far as the United Kingdom, members Ian Devaney (vocals), Henry Kaye (guitar), and Nick Brennan (drums) hail from Westfield, while Michael Sue-Poi (guitar, bass) moved to town several years ago. 

Their first local show in six years, proceeds from The Static Jacks' Sandy benefit performance went toward WHS's Helping Hands fund and relief efforts at the Jersey Shore. 

All Over the Place Internet radio deejay and Patch blogger Rob Galgano had a chance to speak with the band following their set, which featured "tight punk-pop songs from their 2011 album If You’re Young and some new cuts from their second album, which is due out later this year."

The band members expressed surprise that current WHS students knew who they were. “That was better than some of shows we’ve had on tour,” Static Jacks drummer Brennan told Galgano.
