Westfield DJ Begins Christmas Broadcast at Noon Today

Christmas tunes will be spinning through the morning of Dec. 26.

Didn't have time to compile your Christmas playlist this season? Westfield Internet DJ and Patch blogger Rob Galgano's got you covered.

Starting at noon Christmas Eve, Galgano's homegrown radio will begin broadcasting music sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Playfully named All Over The Place for its eclectic range of tunes, the station will feature a mix of holiday standards, alternative covers, never-heard-before-but-sure-to-become-Christmas-staples and more.

Based in the attic of his home, the station went live in mid-2011. "It took me a while to realize it but basically I'm playing the soundtrack to my life here," Galgano told Patch in November of 2011. "It's a lot of fun."

The DJ dad does plenty more than just spin some tunes. The consummate music lover has interviewed musicians and artists in the tri-state area to bring their talents to the masses. From Toad The Wet Sprocket leader Glen Phillips to the Garden State's singer-songwriter Matthew Ryan, Galgano's interests span the musical gamut.

On December 29 at 1 p.m. ET, the Saturday Afternoon Song Swap is on the air. SASS features singer-songwriters from the New York/New Jersey area. The show is hosted by Deena Shoshkes and Rebecca Turner. This episode features Matthew Davis of The Thousand Pities.
