Union County PAC Offers Summer Camps For Kids

One-week theater and photography camps are available for children.

Registration is open for UC PAC’s summer camps for kids.  Register today one week (July 16-20) of Summer Theatre Camp at the Union County PAC; providing local students with the opportunity to experience the unforgettable excitement of theatre.  Children's Stage Adventures offers a unique experience for students to participate in the production of a live musical performance. This summer from Monday, July 16 through Friday, July 20 approximately 40 pre-registered children will be cast in Children's Stage Adventures' musical production of The Sword Called Excalibur. One Week. 40 Local Kids. Ages 5 to 15. One Musical. Two Performances. As If By Magic! This program is appropriate for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade (ages 5 through 15).  UC PAC’s Summer Theatre Camp is sponsored by the Friends of the Union County Arts Center.

 Registration is open for one month of GEAR UP!  Summer Photography Camp, August 2 - 30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10AM to 12PM.  Summertime is the right time to try your hand at photography. Grab your new point-and-shoot digital camera, that old Polaroid, or even a fancy cell phone and get ready for Photography 101! A great opportunity for students of ages 10 to 15 to participate in a hands-on class and learn fun and creative techniques to take great photos of their friends and family using any camera!  This program is appropriate for students in grades 5–8 (ages 10-15).

REGISTRATION: Available at the UCPAC Box Office at 732-499-8226 or online at UCPAC.org.  The UCPAC Box Office, located at 1601 Irving Street, Rahway, NJ, is open Monday through Friday from 11AM until 5PM and also open late on Thursdays until 8PM.

LOCATION: Located in the heart of the Rahway Arts District, Union County Performing Arts Center is within walking distance of the Rahway NJ Transit train station and can be reached by taking exit 135 from the Garden State Parkway or exit 12 from the NJ Turnpike. Parking is available downtown at the Rahway Parking Garage.

 ABOUT UNION COUNTY PAC: The Union County Performing Arts Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation operating in the historic Rahway Theatre, originally built in 1928. With 1,300 seats, the Union County PAC is one of the largest theatres in Union County.  The Arts Center provides barrier-free access and seating for patrons upon request. Programming is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
