Westfielders find a way to pass a rainy day.
It's taken a few million years but giant flying lizards seem to be making a comeback. First there were those pterodactyl-lookalikes in "Avatar" testing the man-and-womanhood of blue-faced teens, and now in "How to Train Your Dragon," a brainy-but-not-brawny Viking boy has a juvenile fire-breathing dragon as a sidekick.
To promote the movie, which opens March 26, Paramount bought ads on Patch sites around the New York metro area encouraging parents to host parties where kids would learn more about the characters in "Dragon."
To pass the time on a rainy Saturday afternoon, over 50 young Westfielders and their parents descended on the Westfield Community Center on West Broad Street to make dioramas, meet new friends and get excited for the new movie. Many commented about how the program was a great way to pass a rainy chilly March Saturday.
