The Shadow Knows

The Mountainside Public Library is pleased to announce another visit by lecturer and historian Henry Morse, the "Old Time Radio Man."  Mr. Morse will present his program on "The Shadow" at the MPL on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m.  

"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?  The Shadow knows."  These lines opened each broadcast and are certainly known by many.  They stir up memories and feelings of intrigue and nostalgia. 

Come reminisce and learn more about this famous radio program. The lecture will include a history of The Shadow, covering his adventures in pulp fiction through his radio broadcasts.  The lecture will discuss the origins, characters and various plots and will include audio clips.  At the end of the lecture, an entire program will be played.  There will also be time for questions and answers.
