Shakespeare's Richard II

Troupe of Friends and the Westfield Recreation Department are pleased to present William Shakespeare's "Richard II" on Labor Day Weekend, September 2-4th. The play examines the transfer of political power from King Richard, to his cousin, Bullingbrook, the future King Henry IV.  Allegiances change, loyal followers stay true and family bonds are tested as power shifts from one party to another. Performances will be held at the gazebo in Mindowaskin Park on East Broad Street in Westfield on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. In the event of rain, performances will be held in the Community Center. There is no charge and all are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating. For more information please go to www.troupe-of-friends.com
