Roosevelt School presents "PETER PAN," a fun family musical

Roosevelt Intermediate School will present the classic family musical "Peter Pan" on March 23, 24 and 25.

Adapted from J.M. Barrie's beloved story about the boy who won't grow up, the show follows Peter Pan as he takes Wendy and her brothers on a magical flight to Neverland, where they battle the notorious Captain Hook and his pirates with help from Tiger Lily and her Indians.

Audiences will be amazed to see Peter "fly" over the Roosevelt stage. The show's director, Annie Brzozowski, said she and the cast are thrilled to be working with professional flying-effects company Flying by Foy, the same team that has "flown" Cathy Rigby and other stars who played Peter Pan on Broadway.

Brzozowski said she hopes Westfield-area families will come see the show, which is particularly fun for children. "Even the dog, Nana, will be played by a real canine actor!," she said.

The shows stars 8th graders Madeline Hudelson as Peter Pan, Frank Guerriero as Captain Hook, Jessica Zimmermann as Wendy and Maddy Metzger as Tiger Lily. The entire cast, which includes more than 50 students, has been rehearsing for months to produce show-stopping numbers like "I Won't Grow Up," "I'm Flying, and "Hook's Tango."
