Educate and Protect Your Children From Stranger Danger

On Tuesday April 27th 6:30-9:30pm  at The Westwood 438 North Avenue in Garwood, NJ, Westfield MomsTown, Christopher Academy Montessori School, SEI Construction, and Panda Imprinting are hosting an extremely worthwhile, yet somewhat touchy subject - "Educate and Protect Your Children From Stranger Danger". Our guest speaker, Alan J. Robinson, member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Project ALERT, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Adam Walsh Foundation has worked for years in law enforcement specializing in child abductions and exploitation.

Did you know........
Approximately 2,100 children are reported missing each day?
In 35 seconds your child could be abducted by an experienced pedophile?
In 80% of abductions by strangers, the first contact occurs within a quarter mile of the child's home. In many cases, the abduction does, too.

As parents we give our children as many opportunities to play safely through the use of bike helmets, swim lessons and protective gear.  We talk with our children about the rules of the road, to look both ways when crossing and never to talk to strangers.  But, are we providing our children with the proper personal safety tools and knowledge to truly protect themselves if ever faced with certain dangers?

Do you ever wonder how you child would handle a stranger approaching them? Could your child be persuaded to go with a stranger? How can you talk with your child and not scare them? What tools are needed to prevent child abduction?

Personal safety habits start young.  We all believe we know what to do and that our children will also know what to do if faced with stranger danger, but will they? Educate yourself by attending this important program on child safety!

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
