Beat the Heat at the Westfield Library

From films to Facebook tutorial, library has free programs all week.

Stay cool at the Westfield Memorial Libray this week with program offerings for the whole family.

Monday: 
The foreign film 'Elena' will be presented at 2 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Running 109 minutes, the film is in Russian with English subtitles and will be shown in the Meeting Room.
Chess club for kids meet at 7 p.m. Children of all ages are welcome as long as they know how to play.

Tuesday:
 
Take a crash course in Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube with Gary George, Founder and CEO of Blazing Multimedia, under the auspices of the Kean University Small Business Center, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Wednesday:
Polka Dot! An interactive kids and family music show will begin at 3 p.m. Registration can be done online. 

Road Trips is the theme of Story Slam. If you enjoy telling short stories about your life to other storytellers, this it the venue for you. Story Slam starts at 7 p.m.

Thursday:
Friends of the Library Knitting Club meets at 2 p.m.

Friday:
Check out the film classic, 'Romance on the High Seas,' starring Doris Day, Jack Carson, and Janis Paige at 1:30 p.m.
