Westfield’s Festifall Expected to Draw Thousands

The fall street fair returns to Downtown Westfield on Sunday.

The 24th annual fall street fair, Festifall, returns to Downtown Westfield on Sunday.

Each year, the Great Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors both the Spring Fling and Festifall street fairs in Downtown Westfield.

New changes coming to the fair this year are two ticket booths and two bungee trampolines, the fair’s most popular ride.

“Local families really look forward to the beautiful weather, fun rides, and opportunity to see lots of friends,” Executive Director of the GWACC Heather Robinson said.

In addition to the many Westfield residents that attend the Festifall each year, countless attendees from surrounding areas come to the fair, Robinson said. Tens of thousands of people are expected to pass through, she added.

The fair offers a variety of vendors featuring handmade products, face painting, food, non-profits, fundraisers and more.

The GWACC is also working on a new initiative called the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, a program that the chamber is really looking forward to, Robinson noted.

“The program, geared towards 7th-12th grade students in the 5 towns we support, will turn kids into actual entrepreneurs, going all the way through to trade show and investors panel!” she explained.

Robinson added that Festifall is a great opportunity to familiarize the community with the Chamber of Commerce’s brand.

Festifall entertainment includes: Transit Radio (11 a.m.), The Black Beat (12 p.m.), The Mocker’s (1 p.m.), Mama’s Stew (2 p.m.), Pending (3 p.m.) and Union (4 p.m.)

The streets of Downtown Westfield will be closed off to traffic during the fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). For more information call 908-233-3021 or visit westfieldareachamer.com.
