Westfield: The Winston School of Short Hills Receives New Director of Curriculum

Dr. Daniele Kass recently joined The Winston School of Short Hills in a new role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Kass has been an educator for over 17 years and holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Walden University’s Richard W. Riley College of Education as well as a Master’s degree from New York University in Special Education. Dr. Kass graduated from the University at Albany in New York with majors in Psychology, Education, and English.
Dr. Kass began teaching special education in New York City at the Kennedy Child Study Center. For the past 15 years, prior to coming to Winston, Dr. Kass taught elementary special education in the New Milford Public School District in New Milford, New Jersey. She has served as a mentor for educators and as a professional development provider for many school districts in Northern New Jersey. In addition to her work at the K-12 level, Dr. Kass has instructed adult learners in educational training programs at several universities. She has conducted research on instructional methodology and curriculum delivery and is published in professional journals, including the National Forum of Educational Administration and Supervision Journal. Dr. Kass is also the published author of three children’s books that support mathematics conceptual development through literature.
